U.S. House Focused on Bolstering American Energy
Today, the House of Representatives kicks off “Energy Week” and will vote on a number of bills aimed at strengthening the U.S. energy industry.
Below is a statement that can be attributed to me, Craig Stevens, spokesman for the GAIN Coalition and former senior advisor to U.S. Energy Secretary Sam Bodman:
“Bolstering American energy has never been more important. With painful inflation making everything more expensive – from groceries to housing – it’s crucial to reduce energy costs by producing more affordable energy here at home. It’s encouraging to see that the House of Representatives designated this week for advancing common-sense legislation that supports U.S. energy production and infrastructure to lower costs for consumers and make our country more energy secure.
This stands in direct contrast to the Biden administration, which has been consistently hostile to U.S. energy. The most recent example is their decision to stall permits for LNG export facilities despite the consequences to American workers and U.S. energy security. America is stronger when we’re producing and exporting energy to the world.”
