Companies Exit UN Climate Alliance

Today, Fox News reported that JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, and State Street Global Advisors have exited the Climate Action 100+ investor group.

Below is a statement that can be attributed to me, Craig Stevens, spokesman for the GAIN Coalition and former senior advisor to U.S. Energy Secretary Sam Bodman:

“This development is a win for American business and investors and hopefully signals a sea change in which major financial institutions proudly and publicly support the US energy industry. Investors and pensioners are looking for the best, most reliable return on their investment to provide themselves and their loved ones with a secure future. There’s no reason for funds to play political games with other people’s money. It’s good to see JP Morgan Chase, State Street, and Blackrock recognize that reality.”
